Layla joins Pivot > as Executive Administrator, where she brings more than two decades of experience in executive support, project coordination, and operational leadership across higher education, the private sector, and startup environments. Throughout her career, Layla has excelled in fast-paced, high-stakes environments, providing high-level administrative support to senior executives at institutions such as UCLA, USC, and the University of Oregon, as well as serving as Chief of Staff to the CEO of a telehealth startup. She is known for her ability to anticipate needs, manage complex workflows, and facilitate seamless cross-functional collaboration. Layla also brings entrepreneurial acumen from running her own online venture, enhancing her ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems with efficiency and poise.
Prior to joining Pivot >, Layla held key roles including: Vet24seven, Inc. – Chief of Staff / Executive Assistant to the CEO, UCLA – Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor, University of Oregon – Executive Assistant to the VP of Communications and AVP, Glaser & Associates – Business Manager & Executive Assistant
Layla holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Bushnell University, and a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Portland State University. She is passionate about creating systems that enhance productivity, fostering strong internal cultures, and ensuring leaders are empowered to focus on the work that matters most.
Outside of Pivot >, Layla is deeply committed to community engagement. She served on the Board of Directors for Adaptive Recreation for Veterans, where she has supported inclusive athletic programs since 2015. She currently volunteers her time with Scorpion Creek Ranch, a startup nonprofit focused on creating residential programs for homeless youth.
