Eric Thor joins Pivot > as a Senior Director, where he brings clients deep expertise across agribusiness finance, land strategy, and water resource management.

He most recently served as Director of Business Affairs at Maricopa Orchards, where he led over $1 billion in land transactions and managed a financing portfolio supporting $800 million in farming and processing operations. His work included structuring alternative land uses—from solar leasing to carbon sequestration—developing groundwater and surface water projects and analyzing the impact of SGMA on land strategy. Eric also oversaw legal coordination and reporting to ownership, helping drive informed decisions across Maricopa’s holdings.

Earlier in his career, Eric held credit and relationship management roles at Rabobank and Farm Credit West, where he structured complex financings and led analyst teams serving agriculture-focused clients.

Eric holds an International MBA in Food and Agribusiness from the Royal Agricultural College and a B.S. in Managerial Economics from UC Davis. He is an active member of Fresno Masonic Lodge #247, a coach with First Lego League
