Mark King joins the Pivot > HALO team as Sr. Advisor with more than four decades of experience leading and transforming some of the world’s most recognizable brands. As CEO of Xponential Fitness, Taco Bell, TaylorMade, and President of adidas North America, Mark built a reputation for bold leadership, creative problem-solving, and cultures that thrive on innovation and accountability.

Across each role, his results speak for themselves: at adidas North America he doubled market share and tripled sales in just four years; at Taco Bell he oversaw sustained same-store sales growth and the opening of more than 1,400 new global franchise locations; and at TaylorMade he transformed a niche golf-equipment company into the most profitable in the world.

At Pivot >, Mark applies the same creative approach that fueled those turnarounds—fresh perspective, data-driven decision-making, and an unshakable belief that culture drives performance. As part of Pivot’s HALO executive advisory team, he works directly with CEOs navigating inflection points, helping them rethink strategy, energize leadership, and reignite growth when the stakes are highest.

A passionate advocate for leadership development and organizational change, Mark also serves on the board of BIG3 Basketball LLC and is a sought-after global speaker on innovation, creativity, and culture. He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay.

Our Story

Pivot > originated from a conversation between friends, Lance Miller and Peter Elkin, both veterans of restructuring and turnaround industries, and former company leaders. Frustrated with the traditional advisory firm model, they sought a better approach centered on client interests and results. Over dinner, they envisioned a best-in-class value proposition, which eventually became Pivot >, attracting like-minded individuals who shared their mission and industry distinctions.
